Back home, raising children was never a one-person job. Grandmothers, aunties, neighbours and church sisters all played a part. Here, many of us are doing it alone — juggling work, study and ambition with childcare that doesn’t understand our culture.
We’ve always solved this informally: a WhatsApp group, a friend of a friend, swapping days with another family on the road. UbuntuCare gives that village a front door — safe, structured and built by one of us, for all of us.
